Trained as an art historian and later specialised in contemporary art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Filippo has spent many years across London, Shanghai and Milan working for galleries, auction houses and art dealers. With time, Filippo accumulated a distinct acumen for trends while monitoring both the primary and secondary art markets. Prompted by the need to collaborate with young artists, Filippo also founded Torre al Cerro, a research artist residency on a secluded property near Castagneto Carducci, Tuscany. Now his insight and vision are at the forefront of RUBEDO’s activity.
